Clinical Study on 1 Case of Chronic Osteomyelitis of the Calcaneus

Abstract

|
Objective: This study was performed to evaluate the treatment of Acupuncture therapy including Herbal Acupuncture theraphy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion in Chronic Osteomyelitis of the Calcaneus.
Methods: We treated 1 case of Chronic Osteomyelitis patient with Acupuncture therapy , Herbal Acupuncture theraphy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion
Results: After 5 weeks of Acupuncture therapy , Herbal Acupuncture theraphy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion, a remarkable improvement was made for Chronic Osteomyelitis. The patient could take self-ambulation after treatment and couldn’t feel any other pain on foot, edema, fever, rash on the skin. Many symptoms have improved.
Conclusions: Acupuncture therapy , Herbal Acupuncture theraphy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion were effective in reducing the symptoms. We think that it need the further study and clinical trial for Chronic Osteomyelitis.
